Scott,
The Ideas submitted for the Top Ten list are removed from the Forum every year after voting has ended. I don't know if there's a particular reason why.
Glenn,
Do you know what time of the year the new Top 10 list will come out? I would like to get a suggestion in for BOMs and Cut List properties.

It's usually open for Idea submissions about the 2nd or 3rd week of October, closed in mid-December, and voting begins a day or two after that. I assume a similar timetable will be followed this year.
Don't wait for the Top Ten, submit your idea as an ER (Enhancement Request) via the Customer Portal.
Well of 73 ERs containing the words Bounding box 7 of them requested the ability to use cut list information in custom properties. After I entered a request for each of them they all were listed as Closed. Roughly 10% of all bounding box requests asked for the same thing, I hope Closed means they are working on it but it would be nice to know the ER is closed BEFORE I enter the information.

Closed means that they were either implemented, duplicates of existing SPRs or abandoned (closed inactive). No one is working on them.
Alin,
I'm not very familiar with the process, but I have an ER that shows closed at the top of the page, but assigned an SPR number and Open at the bottom. Could that be the case with some of the ones Jim referred to?

No. When you submit an ER, an SR is opened. That is the first number you get. If your ER makes sense, SW will open an SPR and close the SR.
As long the SPR is opened, there is a chance that someone will work on it at some time. Once the SPR is closed, the work has stopped.
