It appears when you export an assembly from tree house it puts all the files both assembly and part files in the same file location. Is there a way to export the part files to a location different than the assembly location?
Yes. Select the folder where the modified documents should be saved.
Also make sure that if you modified custom properties values, you filled the Data type values. There is a known bug that makes the export fail when the data type of values are empty.
That's my problem my part files for an assembly are located in a different location than where the assembly file is located.
Unfortunately, at this time, TreeHouse is not a replacement for Pack and Go or Copy Tree. I agree with you that adding this functionality (copying files in new locations and updating references) will greatly enhance the Tree House product.
Please submit an ER and post here the SPR number, so we can vote on it.
There is a huge potential in Tree House, but the developers stopped working on it, for some reasons. I would like to see it integrated in PDM, also.
So it is up to us to show interest in the product and maybe they will pay attention to what the users desire.
I agree, if it had more functions I would use it more than Pack & Go.
