Hi Everyone,
How possible is it to create a rendering in PV360, print it, and have that print match the color of a real life object?
We have the RGB values of the painted object. But I imagine, with all the different rendering settings for lighting and color, and printing, that this will be a difficult task. Has anyone achieved it? If so, how'd you do it? : )
(I imagine it would require printing multiple shades, choosing the one that matches the part, then final rendering in that shade. But I don't have access to the color match parts which are in another city far away )
Its a crap shoot really The RGB value will get you close but you are correct, lighting, environment, appearance settings will affect the color so you can't rely on the RGB setting to be a perfect match. You also have different monitor and printer color profiles which also introduce some variation in the final image.
I typically get close with the RGB setting, set up everything then compare the color in the render with a photo of the actual color and then fine tune the RGB by eye to match everything.
