CHAIN PATTERN BREAKS WHEN CONFIGURATION CHANGES.

    Kieun Lee

      Hi, everyone,

I am trying to use IGUS cable track on main assembly. So I made a sub assembly by using chain pattern. It moves perfectly fine.

I put this sub assembly into main assembly(with cylinder).

If I mate one end only and moves other end, it moves fine.

but, If I mate both ends and change the configuration(Extension, retraction), cable track is no longer dynamic motion, it just locks it self.

Cylinder moves but cable track and the bracket tends to stay at that position.

What am I doing wrong on here?

Thank you for reading, and I would be really helpful if I can get some help.

      Thank you.

I'm having the same problem and it seems that you can't have the end of the pattern constrained. I agree it would have been awesome but I can see the difficulties in programming it. I had to use sketches to drive the chain pattern and I incorporated the stroke dimensions in configurations. The downside is having to create as many configurations as I need positions but at least it works.

Hope it helps even if it's probably too late!
