SaveAs dialog box is generally displayed in the following 2 scenarios: -
- A New file is created and user wants to save the file. In this case, use Sldworks::SetNewFileName() to set the name of the file before calling save. The dialog shall display the set name.
- An existing file needs to be saved with a different name. In this case, the SaveAs dialog is displayed with existing file name. I do not think that there is any method (using SolidWorks APIs) of changing this name before the dialog is displayed.
Hope it helps!!!
Thanks for your detailed explanation.
It seems to me that I need to implement my own SaveAs dialog to achieve this function.
