Has anyone else experienced installation problems with SP3 keeps asking you to reboot and try the installation again?
Ignore the message and install it.
I agree, ignore it. When it finishes, shut down for a couple minutes, turn back on...not reboot.
If problem persists, uninstall then reinstall.
I'm going to second this issue. Seems there are a few people who have encountered it.
We have two separate systems running SWorks 2016 at our office. We recently upgraded both to SP3; one updated without an issue, yet another had the exact issue you stated above ( something alone the lines of there is a pending installation, please reboot or continue). I had rebooted four times and tried updating in a few ways. Nothing has worked thus far.
So this issue was solved after uninstalling solidworks 2016 SP2 and re-installing it again with SP2; I don't think this had an effect, but for the SP3 update this time, I had run the SP3 setup file "As Administrator" along with the setup guide in the link below.

Hope it helps.
