Hello All,
This may have been covered, but I haven't found an answer yet. I was tasked to create new drawing formats for the company I'm working for. I have created .drwdot and .slddrt files for sheet 1 and sheet 2. In the sheet 1 .sdldrt file, I went into the Document Properties>Drawing Sheets and checked the "Use different sheet format" and pointed to the sheet 2.slddrt file location, the saved the slddrt file. For new drawings, everything works fine.
But on existing drawings, I checkout the file, right-click in a blank area of the drawing and select properties, I browse to the new sheet 1 format location, then click OK, but for some reason, it populates with the sheet 2 format. I've tried to replace the format with the new sheet 1, but it will not execute.
Is there something I am missing?
Hello,
As Peter De Vlieger said, your statement "I have created .drwdot and .slddrt files for sheet 1 and sheet 2" is puzzling, since you can't have multiple drawing templates within a single document. I explained drawing templates and sheet formats the best I could in #2 at Frequently Asked Forum Questions. If you'll review this, and the link Peter provided, it should help clear things up. If you still have questions please don't hesitate to come back and ask.
