After pushing out eDrawings 2016 SP1 to a few computers last week we are seeing that the program will take up to a minute to open. once open there seems to be no issues, drawing open very quickly.
I checked the forums and saw a few similar posts but no answers to the slow opening issues.
Does anyone have a fix?
I just discovered in General Settings there is an option to disable SOLIDWORKS Network License. it may be worth trying that to see if it is any faster. I toggled the option and it is definitely faster with the box checked. My computer hosts the license server so there is no reason for it to slow the opening.

This did fix the issue for some users.
I'ts worth noting at least one user had the check box greyed out but since has not had the slow opening issue though nothing changed.
I'm a little hesitant to mark this as the answer but I suspect it was.
All versions of eDrawings have always opened painfully slowly for me. Years ago a pop up box would appear mentioning something about licensing. It no longer appears but it still opens very slowly. I've never had any licenses appear in my License administrator for eDrawings. I wonder if your troubles are licensing related.
