COSMOSWorks Crashes on Desktop not on Laptop

    Reagan Bull
I can run Cosmos works on both a desktop and a laptop. Both havethe same operating systems and sp's installed. The only differenceI can think of is that the desktop has dual xeon processors. Thedesk top crashes as soon as I try to Mesh or run an analysis. Thesame file on the older, slower laptop runs fine. Please help.

Can we have more specifics on what exactly you have installed for versions and SP's of SolidWorks/Cosmos?

Also complete details on both systems spec's are necessary for the folks here to give you a more complete answer.

Are you getting blue screens or a crash to the desktop?

          Cheers,

I just upgraded to SW and CW SP5.0 and am not sure if the problemis corrected; however, prior to today's upgrade my system specswere as follows:
              DESKTOP:

              XP PRO SP 2.0
              DELL PRECISION PWS490 INTEL XEON 5160 @ 3.00GHZ
              2.99GHZ, 3.00 GB RAM
              With 3GB Switch
              SW2007 SP4.0
              CW2007 SP4.0

              Laptop:
              XP PRO SP 2.0
Dell Precision M70 Intel Pentium M Processor 2.00GHZ
              2.00 GHZ, 1.0MB RAM
              SW2007 SP4.0
              CW2007 SP4.0

The first analysis I tried after the upgrade failed on the Desktop.I was trying to modify and re-run an analysis previously successfulon the laptop with SP4.0

A completely new analysis on the desktop with Sp5.0 seems to beworking.

The crash is to Desktop and is a runtime error.
