Two Form tools at the same time?

I used one form tool. Then I try to use another form tool on top of the first one. I can't seem to make it work.

Attached is the file, if anyone has time to try to make it work. There are both form tools unsuppressed, but only one of them will work at a time. Is there any way to have them both work?

Matt,

That is the way it is... You can't do a form within a form. You are going to need to break up the edge forms so you are not forming across the entire face of your part to add your additional CS.

Can you put a hole through the middle of your box cover form tool. Not sure if that would work.

You may need to do the box cover shape as a solid, then shell. After that add your form tool CS's.

I have a few more ideas, but do not have time until later to try.

  If I try to put the CS emboss on the other form tool, then SW gives me an error about the minimum radius of curvature and the thickness of the formed part. I've checked that and it seems to be correct.
  
  I know I could draw this as a solid and then shell, but my brain likes to model things exactly as they are built. If I have to, that's what I'll do.

    I suspect SolidWorks does not like the forms going in two different directions. That is why you are getting the error when trying combine your forms. The direction from the stopping face reverses.

      Here is your part with a combined CS and edge form. I did not build your CS the same, but you can re-work your form tool to correct that. I added material so your stopping surface is a bit different from what you originally set-up.
