I've tried to do this a few ways with either splits or the intersect feature but I cant figure out how to do it in a macro.

If I have a macro that creates a solid body that partially or completely overlaps with another solid body is is possible to cut out the overlapping space so only one of them exists in that spot.

The attached is some macro code I'm working on.  What it does is create several offset surfaces INWARD on an existing part and thickens them. (click a surface of a part to select it then run the code)  the point is to make boundary layers on the original part that are defined as different materials without changing the part dimensions.  That much works fine, but I need to cut the intersected sections of the original part out so once the code is finished the solid bodies are not overlapping each-other.
