Hi Amit. I actually just found something that might work. If you go in General Settings by right clicking on Input Data, you can select the experiment to be Time-dependent and then going back to setting the velocity Boundary Condition, when setting an equation for it under Flow Parameters, there now appears an option to create the equation with the time variable. I have the option to make a table or an equation.
Is this something that would work for what I want to do? I'm getting some pretty weird results so not sure yet.
Unfortunately this is not easy to do. What you would need to do is to create an inlet velocity boundary condition, run your simulation for a specified amount of time, and then disable/enable your boundary condition and continue the calculation.
You're not alone in wanting a simple on/off or time based intake boundary condition, but the dev team has yet to deliver something like this to us.
