How do you change the axis of the circle? Instead of the circle parallel to x axis, i want to make it parallel to the y-axis
i want to make it parallel to the y-axis to make a pipe
Before you develop bad habits - I recommend that you attach your *.sldprt file here for someone to fix your geometry.
The blue geometry indicates that it is not fully defined.
You could create a new workplane for the circle sketch, but the workplane is almost certainly not needed if your original sketch is created in a logical relation to the Origin planes.
It looks to me like you are trying to put the circle in the same sketch.
You would need to use a different sketch for that.
You can create a reference plane at the end of your path that is perpendicular and through the end point.
Type "plane" into your search function at the top right of SolidWorks window to find it.
Then, once you have the two separate sketches, you can use one as the profile and on as a path for your swept boss.
That should work for you as long as you use a diameter of the circle that doesn't intersect itself.
If I get time later, I will add some screenshots to help you out. But this should get your started.
If you want to sweep the pipe along the curved line, you need to start a new sketch. First create a new plane by selecting the line and the endpoint of the line. Then draw your circle with the center and the line of the other sketch constrained as a pierce point.. Create a swept feature....
i get it now thank u so much!
