I'm rendering some LEDs, and for some reason they are bleeding through the front cover as shown. If i back off the intensity it goes away but then i get no glow really. Seems like i need more GI control? Thoughts? Thanks in advance!
I'm sure you already checked for this Tony, but is there any transparency on your panel textures?
yes. there is no transparency in the white plastic
Thicken it!?... just kidding... and not sure why it's transmitting thru... but in reality and it is not uncommon,.. add a opaque material (paint/sheet/tape) to block the transmission.. so, add a surface or assign a black/none reflective material on the inner surface?
no luck, tried all kinds of different materials to that surface, LED bleed thru all. Tomorrow i'll give Visualize a try, maybe its better
I ran some tests here, but I couldn't recreate your problem.
Let us know if you figure things out.
hmm,.. as did Brian.. I did my own test and could not find this... I'll attach what I have... can you change my materials to yours and post back (if it shows the same issue)?
seems like the white plastic had something goofy, i deleted it and reapplied, seems to be good now. Need to play with it a bit more. trying to get a nice bright glow something like this.
At least you're moving forward, have a good weekend Tony!
