can I open a .slddrw file a customer sent me without having a sldprt file.
No you couldn't use the .slddrw file without the .sldprt file. Only the view locations will be available in the .slddrw file. If you don't have the .sldprt file.
As SOLIDWORKS will suggest you to locate the .sldprt file to view the drawings views created in the .slddrw file.
Yes, you can open that in eDrawings OR using quick view method in SOLIDWORKS (this would open up the drawing for viewing only).
Thank you, that's what I thought. I wasn't sure if there was a setting that allowed me to open it as usable geometry.
