i disagree with your comments saying not at all accurate.
Many times i have used bolt connectors, mostly close to actual but its is a time consuming process

I've attached a link to an article that describe the connectors in Solidwors. There's a paragraph in the that article that says:
"Because of those that connect the beam with flange faces, stress close to the area of the bolt/nut may not be accurate. However, errors significantly decrease a short distance (approximately one bolt diameter) from the bolt..."
What I've done instead of using the bolt connectors was modeling the actual bolt and washer and use shrink fit to generate the preload.
