I have a drawing view which is a detail of a Broken out Section. When I dimension items on it I get a what appears to be dimensions from a broken view with the zig zag in the leaders. Then when I go to place the dim it shoots off into never-never land off the edge of the sheet. Every time I attempt to drag the dim back to the sheet it just doubles how far off it it. However if I place the dimension on the parent view the dims act normally. I seem to remember years ago being able to place a dimension on a view and move it to another view. It could have been with Inventor. Is it possible whith SW and if so how?
