When I open an iges file it imports just fine. Shaded with edges is turned on. (that's how I like it anyway) Why does featureworks turn off shaded with edges? Why does the shaded with edges go back to shaded after a file import is complete?
..I'm pretty sure this is/was intended... to save/skip the shaded with edges algorithm processing time.
...so,.. it would be a enhancement request (little check box) to turn on shaded with edges after the import.
..and, I'll guess,.. for this Professional Software.... and full-time beta user program... it may take.......2yrs to become a option.
That makes sense, except we are not running P3 processors anymore. I am always telling people I can do that in Solidworks with less clicks and less work but that is not faster.
I have noticed this on my parts as well. That's why I leave the Shaded With Edges toggle on my HUD.
As for why it happens, I'm not sure. One of the mysteries of SolidWorks.
