I would like to export, e.g. to excel, the velocity and pressure points on a Plane.
In the best case the points are already interpolated to a regular mesh with distances of 1 mm.
Is that possible? And if, how?
yes, there is an option to export to excel when we probe the surface or any face
this is possible if your machine is installed with MS office
Here the workaround for finding the parameters ( Pressure, Velocity) on a plane.
Go to the Export result in that Export option under results.
once you get into that uncheck the entire geometry and select the appropriate plane which you are interested will be used and saved the result in ASCII format (.txt) then you may copy to Excel and interpolate the same.
Hope it helps.
I didn't find "Export Results".
Is that in the 2015 version?
you may find in Result folder . kindly find the image as follows
I do not know of a a simple way to do this. You can create point parameters but you will need to manually specify the points (in your case, probably by XYZ coordinates) and then you can obtain a table of selected parameters.
Flow Sim is not an academic tool and is not very friendly when it comes to giving out raw data.
I got the Mesh with the parameters I'm search, see:
Tools>Flow Simulation>Results>Mesh>Mesh Output to ASCII
However, it seems I have to interpolate the data myself...
