Getting started with SW. While looking for a place to reverse mouse wheel zoom direction, i wrecked my user interface set up. Also, the command manager now comes up on the lower right of the screen. How do i get back to normal?
You can reset all SW setting in the registry.
click the windows sign on your keybord. enter "regedit"
In the Registry Editor expand HKEY_CURRENT_USER/Software
right click the SolidWorks folder and select Rename
Rename the entry something like SolidWorks_old.
When you launch SW again all settings will be restored.
If you wan't to play with your interface read this first:
2015 SOLIDWORKS Help - Copy Settings Wizard
hope this helps
when you grab the command manager drag it into top middle position.
If you want you can also reset the settings right click the command manager -> customize
and browse for reset button.
Thanks Leszek, I used the wrong titles in my post. The Property Manager was in the lower right, not command manager. I got it over to the left now.
I can't drag the command manager because I don't have one any more. I don't want to make up customized tabs since I don't know what I am doing. I would like to get all the default settings back if possible.
Leszek, I have no clue as to what I just did. I just followed your excellent instructions and it worked !!
Every thing is back in place and working. Thanks for your expert help.
