Files Shown Twice In The Vault

Please see the screenshot. This shows a Part and its Drawing shown twice in the Vault. How come the second instances of these files aren't Links? I don't understand what's going on here.

Any suggestions? Thanks in advance.

it's not a link when you're in the same project.

it's not a duplicate. it's the same part.

    in a word, yes.
    
    if link is defined as a document whose parent project is something other than the current project then, how could a link be displayed on the other document(s) in your example?
    
    look at your example, (since i can't see the name of the project i will use Arm/Console as a reference name) if the second instance of the part was displayed as a link this would imply that this documents' parent project is something other than Arm/Console Project (in essence a contradiction).
    
    most people run into this when they first start using pdmw. you must have been subconsciously ignoring this anomaly.

      Thanks for the information, this all makes sense to me now.
      
      As a Consultant with 25 Clients, this is the first time I, or anyone else, noticed this. I see quite a few Vaults, they're all set up differently.

        one more tid bit, this functionality cannot be altered and will always be in effect regardless of how a vault is set up.
