In property Tab builder 2016 this is accomplished using the Conditional List option.
See here for how it works : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iep62Oo8qvo
This option is not available in Property Tab Builder 2015 so you need to be on SW2016,
I should've specified that we're using SW 2015 and no plans to update to 2016.
Any other way I can accomplish this?
Can I do this without the Property Tab Builder?
Hi Shaun ,
sorry for the late response
You could also do this from the drawing side as well. in the bill of materials (or a table in general) you can add equations into the cells.
so you could have the main customer property options and then depending on the choosen value you could make the "IF" decision drawing side.
just add the table, click in the cell and select the Equation symbol, you can now enter your IF or nested IF statment and reference your custom property.

OK, that works, except I cant format the text.
1) I select "APPROVAL" from my Custom Properties...
2) I have an if statement in a single cell table that reads...
=IF(`Status`= "APPROVAL";"FOR APPROVAL NOT FOR CONSTRUCTION";IF(`Status`= "CONSTRUCTION";"FOR CONSTRUCTION";"SUCKS TO BE YOU")
3) "FOR APPROVAL NOT FOR CONSTRUCTION" appears
Great, except I need it to appear on two lines:
NOT FOR CONSTRUCTION
I tried adding a
and
like this to provide the break that I require,
"FOR APPROVAL
NOT FOR CONSTRUCTION"
This works for HTML, so I thought it might work here, but it doesn't.
Nevermind, just pressed enter and got a new line. Didn't think it would be that easy.
