OK Thanks. Thing is we prefer to use links to sketch dimensions so for us it's a little more complicated. It would be nice if that feature were seamless as with custom part properties. I wonder if 2016 addresses this issue?
Linking a cut list property to a dimension shouldn't cause a problem. (At least it doesn't for me.) It's only when you manually enter " in a description that you get the error.
I know on SP2 I had an issue with my descriptions not coming in proper. what I needed to do was convert the weldment profiles to 2015 and then everything worked fine.
Yes. There was an issue with that beginning with SW2015. Replace the quotes symbol with two apostrophes. It will look the same but not cause the error,
