I am new to weldments and I have a custom weldment profile folder that I was too specific in naming. I tried going through solidworks explorer to rename it, but I guess you can't rename folders there. I do not use PDM and work off a server so I don't know how to go about renaming a folder without it affecting all my previous work (or if doing so will even cause any issues).
Can anyone point me in the right direction?

The beauty with weldment profile is that if the original path has gone (say renamed or moved to different location) even then the model would not show any errors. Only thing is that it would report the missing file when you edit the feature.
I would suggest to instead renaming the folder, make a copy and rename that. And in the file locations under Tools > Option, map/add the path for the new folder and remove the old one. This way old files won't get effect and new files will be linked with new location/folder
