Hello.
I am a teacher and me and my students use SW Engineering Kit 2015. In this release my students and I often have a problem with the feature Circular Pattern. We can't select 'Bodies'. After several clicks on 'Features and faces' and 'Bodies' we sometimes get lucky. There is missing a selection box.
Now there is a release 2016 I wonder if there comes an update for 2015. I asked several times at the helpdesk but that didn't do the job.

CIrcular Pattern does not let me select bodies, only features
My entry is at the bottom of the page.
Basically it's a graphics issue. You can select the bodies by clicking letter d in the word "Bodies". Due to scaling issues of the interface the box is located there but not shown.

Have you tried un-checking the check mark in Feature and Faces then selecting bodies?
Select the bodies from the folder first, then select pattern.
This doesn't work if you only have one body in the part (no bodies sub-folder with a single body part). As a work around, I created a second temporary body and then used this method. The real problem is that the check box is hidden behind the text (see Mr Shapiro's solution above).

NO need for additional body, just set solid bodies to show.
Thanks for the work around, but my question is why? Your solution is to dig around in the system options to use a workaround which requires a noun verb selection? Very cumbersome, and it requires me to cancel out of the command and then remember how to get into the settings adjust the tree display. Nice workflow SolidWorks.
It is much simpler to use Mr. Shapiro's method to check the check box that is hidden behind the text. Until SolidWorks realizes that one of their programmers inadvertently moved the check box and puts it back in place I will just have to remember that the check box is there.
yes, in 2015 sp5,.. there sometimes is no box... sometimes a box and you can NOT select a body... and if you open and close SW or the file... it may work and sometimes not.....
it' so much fun using this PROFESSIONAL SOFTWARE... yes?
In 2016 sp2 it seems to work... for now.... have fun!.............?
