I have unchecked and rechecked it and rebooted the system. I can only select exterior faces unless i right click and 'select other'
I see someone else has made the same post that was not resolved.
Solved selecting edges but not faces, even if the feature is not merged and not transparent i can not select it unless i use 'select other'
Have you tried holding down the shift key when you go to make the selection? That toggles the selection through transparency temporarily either on or off depending on whether or not it is checked.
Also, another thing to look at is if you are in an assembly, and editing the model inside the context of the assembly, and if the part is transparent at the part level and not at the assembly level. This will affect that as well.
It's a part file and shift does not work, it only worked on hidden lines befor i resolved it.
I have go as far as making the part transparent and a feature solid to try and select it, no workie...
Most graphics anomalies are the result of using a non-approved, or corrupt, graphics card and/or driver.
Have you run the Rx diagnostics tool to check?
The Card is approved, as for the driver, not sure but i always download the latest driver from the manufacturers site when installing new hardware, will check for an update but it is irelevent because it does the same on both my systems which have different MB's and GPU's. I really don't see how a GPU or driver could be responsible for this, a glitch in SW is more believable.
One thing: Downloading the latest driver may not be the best solution. The reason is that each driver is tested by Dassault. If you run your SolidWorks Rx, it will tell you if the driver you have is supported. Very often, the driver that is supported is NOT the very latest driver from the manufacturer.
