Does SW have any special tricks for drawing fiberglass or carbon layups?
I need a triad type thing with arrows showing 0°, +45°, -45° and +90° for orienting the material. there are other things that would help with composite layup as well.

There is no good way. I use to design carbon fiber parts. We created models of the part, then there was a third party software that handled the layup pieces. I don't remember the name of it.
In SW Premium, you can use surfaces and then add split lines, then flatten the surfaces. But, no fiber orientation.
