I need to create the 3-D model of this saddle bracket, but cant seem to get it to come out. Can anyone help me with this? I attached my model and sketch of what I have so far. Thanks! Much appreciated.
I added a few more sketches and features to create your part, hope this helps
... for some reason you have 3 bodies and you forgot your R80 cut....
personally, I'd start over and make orthographic sketches per the 2d drawing in your 3D layout.... like what is attached.. good luck.
(btw, the only error I see with this 2D drawing is the 150 height per the print scale.) oops, it's right
Im still not getting it to come out. I tried to make the two sketches like you showed, but that made it more confusing. The attached piece is as close as I can get it. Is there any way to complete it from what I have?
..did you look at each step of the video? "cu6_tut03-zxys.wmv"
Just saw the video Paul. Looks like I was thinking about the same. Not sure what Romel's solution was, I am stuck in the past, but probably similar as well.
Glad you were able to get some help Nick. Most parts can be created several ways. Sometimes you just need some help to get out of a method block and take off down a new path. That said, I still don't understand the screw model, I once saw, which was started with a sphere.
Unfortunately I am still on 2012 and was not able to open your files but I took a guess at what area you are struggling with. If this is not the problem area, sorry.
