Hi We have 6 net work license , we would like to make one of them as standalone, is it possible if so how it should be done. Please let me know .
You need to do it thru your VAR and there may be cost involved.
Thanks Jeff, can you please let me know what is VAR stand for
VAR is Value Added Reseller - the company from whom you purchased SW.
If you don't mind me asking, why do you want to switch to a standalone license? There might be a better solution for you.
Have you looked at borrowing a license? Or have you looked at reserving one license for a specific user (here is a link to what I am talking about: http://www.javelin-tech.com/blog/2010/09/reserve-licenses-on-2010-solidnetwork-license-manager-for-users-or-groups/ )?
I saw the option of borrowing license, can it be borrowed for more than 30 days if the administrator accepts, since i want to use the machine offsite from the network.
If you want to borrow it for more than the standard 30 days, you will need to talk to your VAR. It looks like they can give you a different license file that will allow it, but I am not sure about the work it will take to get that special license file. I don't know where you live, but another possible option you might have is a home use license. You will need to talk to your VAR about that too.
Thanks Victor i have sorted it out, The VAR can release one license to standalone for a small fee.
