Having trouble with a tangent mate.
The first view is how the nut and bolt should be on the cast hinge. 2nd view is what happens and has to be edited.....annoying. Note that the cast hinge is not truly round, so a tangent mate from the bolt body circle intersecting the bottom of the bolt head is used for the tangent. Sometimes the bolt flips sides of the hinge also.
Anyway to maintain the first view? Note that the first & 2nd views are from two different areas of the model assembly.

Figure out the distance from the end of the bolt to the nut, remove tangent mate and replace with distance mate. So, no, I do not have a direct answer.
