I'm trying to rotate a simple part like a basic rectangular block. I have added an axis of rotation.
How should the axis be fixed in order to allow rotation of the block about the axis in an assembly?
Place a coincident mate between this axis and a corresponding axis in the assembly (or in another Part in the assembly), if one exists. Another option would be to place coincident mates between this axis and two planes that cross at the point where you want the axis of rotation.
I have a related question: do you know if there's anyway to define the rotational friction on this axis? That is, for running a motion study, I'd like the part to rotate with resistance.
I'd like to help, but I know next to nothing about Simulation. You might want to start a new question here in the Simulation section.
