I am trying to simulate buckling of a simply supported beam as given in http://www.imbm.bas.bg/tm/jtam/files/42-4/19-30.pdf .
I first did "Treat as a beam" and specified the material. Then, identified the joints. In the fixtures, immovable at one end(hinged) and reference geometry(restricting 2 directions as in the case of roller). I put on the axial load and then "Mesh and Run" . The error pops up that "The iterative solver stopped. The solver has numerical difficulties. Model may not have adequate fictures. No results saved.".
What is the problem?
