Check the log in the administration tool. Sometimes that will shed some light on what's happening. I recently had a client with this and it was the transaction log file was full because the tempdb was full. IT reallocated space on their VM and it stopped the error.

Hi Tim, thank you fo your reply. Unfortutantly that's not my case. The log on the archive server report tons of E_FVC_UNKNOWN_ERROR and E_FVC_SOCKET_CANT_RECEIVE errors that seems affect just a small subset of pc (about 5 over 24).
I would need an advice over some tools tobe used to investigate this kind of issue. I don't know if wireshark could be the right one or if it's more convinient proceed in a different way.
