When I try to change the state of a document, I got an error "Archive Server connection socket could not send data".
Can anyone advise what is the problem?
Thanks in advance.
Same here, does anyone found a solution o a root cause to investigate?
Thank you in advance
Check the log in the administration tool. Sometimes that will shed some light on what's happening. I recently had a client with this and it was the transaction log file was full because the tempdb was full. IT reallocated space on their VM and it stopped the error.
Hope this helps,
Hi Tim, thank you fo your reply. Unfortutantly that's not my case. The log on the archive server report tons of E_FVC_UNKNOWN_ERROR and E_FVC_SOCKET_CANT_RECEIVE errors that seems affect just a small subset of pc (about 5 over 24).
I would need an advice over some tools tobe used to investigate this kind of issue. I don't know if wireshark could be the right one or if it's more convinient proceed in a different way.
This is an example:
Date: 2016-07-29 16:37:18.000
Code Description: Errore sconosciuto sul server archivio.
No data socket found.
Operation type: Op_PutFile
File ID: 0x28e3
Fix mismatch: Yes

Local file path: E:\EPDM_ARCHIVIO\CUSTOMER\3\000028e3
Code Description: Il socket della connessione non ha ricevuto i dati.

This one can be tricky to troubleshoot. It would be good to have your reseller (VAR) get involved to assist with this one.
This was a long time ago, but did you ever figure out this problem? I am having the same problem, on a small subset as well, 4 out of 100ish. I'm curious to know what your solution was if you remember.
Thanks in advance.
This generally happens when your Archive Server is running out of space. Check your Archive server disk space. We had this happen this week as well.
Just had the same problem.
The Archive server was full, when we updated it with 100 gb, I had no trouble checking the parts in. And the Error did not show again
