Upgraded to 2008 Office Premium (SP 0.0) from 2007 Office Premium3.1. Can create routing but get an error message when attempting tosave the file ("An unknown error occurred while accessing <filepath; file name>"). Uninstalled and performed a totallyclean install. Working with VAR on issue but want to know if anyoneelse has/is experiencing similar issue and has a resolution?Thanksin advance

I haven't had much of a play with piping in SW 2008 yet, but thefew that I have done so far have worked and saved OK.

Yea im having the same problem. I ust got 2008 and am running it on vista. I get the same message and then when you save close and reopen all the piping you have just done has disappeared and just the mates are left.
Also id say solidworks has crashed about 10-12 times today and only then im using the routing tools. Its a night mare.

  Yes it is the same problem I am experiencing. The VAR cannot figureit out and wants to me to load on another computer...just have nothad time.Also this problem affects legacy data!!

    What im doing now is placing mates into the area needed. make sure the route conection points are on the face of the object and not ion the middle where the rouite point should be. make sure all your pipe configurations are correct remember pipes have to have a nomitive value generally 1mm or so smaller than the inner diamater of the pipe and it is this the route looks for in the design libuary. then click on a connection point and click start route and then from there on stay in the same route by right clicking on it and going edit route and then right click on the conection pioint wanted and go to add to route.
    This worked for me and am no longer having the same problems, im not sure if they are the same problems as you were having or if i explained it very well.

      My issue is with the electrical routing on the fly. I do not usepiping very much. I will attempt to do something very similar toyou.

        Well the problem has been solved with minimal assistance from VAR.After doing 3
        complete uninstall with the same issues and installing SP0.1, therouting issue persisted. Then SP1.0 wa released. On my 3rd cleanuninstall and loaded SP1.0. ROUTING NOW WORKS FOR ME!!!! Now if Ican get rid of these sporadic "FAILED TO SAVE" messages,things would be golden.
