    Movement in floworks?

    James Sidgwick

I have asked lots of people this question butcannot seem to get a definite answer. Might anyone know if it ispossible to model, say, a lightweight ball in an air flow?

      Thanks,

      James

Floworks does not do user-defined dynamic bodies - you can however add a particle study after running a flow simulation in the results that will introduce small bodies with mass - a given # of particles in the stream and surface constraints - I've use it quite often with small dust sized bodies (<1mm dia), but have never tried it with large particles - if you're in doubt setup a small fake vertical rotometer model and simulate it with gravity and try adding a particle study and see how it moves
