Will either of these cards sigificantly outperform the other
in a Dell T3400 Workstation pretty well loaded? I am trying to sell
the IT guy and my boss on the 1700 since it benchmarked higher on
the Nvidia website. Any comments?

My basis for an argument would be that the FX1700 is DX10/OpenGL 2.1. Many of SW's competitors are already moving or have moved to DX10. These are the latest standards available, and when Vista does become the required platform you are already DX10 equipped. There hasn't been any word yet as to what SW will do, but it might be something to consider. They may move to DX10 or not, either way you are good-to-go with the FX1700.Chris Zeien wrote:
