Read User specified BOM Name from all configs & write to variable

    Wayne Easton

We have files with multiple configurations, each has a part number specified using the User specified option for BOM name. I now need a way to read the value for each config and then write that value to a variable named PartNo for each config. (ie. Each config needs the existing UserSpecifiedBOM Name written to the PartNo variable)

We have a dispatch which can read and write the value as described above, however, it only reads one value and writes that one value. In the dispatch setup there doesn't seem to be a way to "roll through" (read and write) all configurations unless you know and specify all the configurations using the configuration names. It is impossible to know all the configuration names for all of our files.

      Thanks

Below is an image (not from our vault-In ours, Destination card variable is PartNo instead of Number). The problem comes in with the portion labeled "Enter names of configurations to update (or leave blank to update all configurations)"

We need to read the UserSpecifiedBOM name from config1 and write it to the PartNo variable on the config1, then read the UserSpecifiedBOM name from config2 and write it to the PartNo variable on the config2, then read the UserSpecifiedBOM name from config3 and write it to the PartNo variable on the config3 and so on.

Currently the dispatch reads a UserSpecifiedBOM name from each config and then writes it to the PartNo variable across all configs it rolls through all configs but the result is that each time it overwrites the PartNo variable to all configs leaving the value from the last config written to the PartNo variable for all configurations
