We design lots of hoppers with rectangle flanges top and bottom. sometimes they are parallel, sometimes they are not, and in all dif directions, sometimes square to round, I have attached a pdf file sample of a hopper. The flanges are sub assemblies not much of a problem there, but comments would be interesting, but my main question is the sheet metal part. I would like to have the joint on a corner so this part would only require 1 bend per part, and a weld in each corner of asm. I am fairly new to solidworks and other than the frustrating learning curve I am loving it. What is the best way to go about this ?
