My soildwork system hard disk was crashed .I change the new hard disk but soildwork was not activating it's showing license exceeded error .how to resolve the issue .please help me .
You need to contact your VAR for de-activating previous machine ID. They will send you de-activation form for the same.
As Rohit aforementioned, give your VAR a call, they will look into your serial number under activation manager. What happens, is your PC creates a new ID every single time it detects new HDD. Therefore, even tough the name of the computer has changed the Computer ID will be indexed and that is why you get the license count exceeded.
Your VAR should be able to fix this in less than 5 seconds.
Hope this helps,
Thank you all for your support . I could not understand VAR call it's for technical support or license support team could please send me a Toll free number or mail id it will be more helpful as .
thanks with regards,
This is a technical issue and can be only resolved by your VAR. So please contact them only.

That is a nice hat, it makes you look like a real Texan. Did you get that in Dallas last month?
VAR stands for Value Added Reseller, so you need to ring up the reseller who supplies your Solidworks license.
We wont be able to go give you an email or phone number as we don't know who that is.
As previously aforementioned VAR stands for "Value Added Re-seller" who is going to be in charge of management of all your licenses, subscriptions and tech support, if you guys are on subscription of course.
The easiest I believe is to ask around your company who your VAR is, I have no doubt in my mind that someone will know and point you to them. However, in case no one knows, which would be very strange, you can always check who it is by logging on customer portal account and it should display it on top where your name is. If that does not work as well, you can always email SOLIDWORKS customer service desk or call them on one of these phone numbers, depending on your location in the world.
1-800-693-9000 US and Canada
1-781-810-5011 Outside US and Canada
Following all of that once you found who your VAR is, contact them and ask them to free up a license by deactivating the old computer ID.
Hope this helps and good luck!
Or create a customerportal, account with your solidworks SN (help, about SolidWorks), loging in will show you your VAR and phone number in the My VAR Section at the bottom.
