Tateos,
I believe to use the Activation Wizard, the license to be transferred needs to be initiated from the computer it is on. Scott stated that his laptop "died". I would take that to mean that he no longer has access to the programs on it and therefore would be unable to use the Activation Wizard.

Leszek and Mark,
Ask your's VAR when and how to use Activation Wizard.
I used it before and it works fine for me.
In both of those scenarios, it appears that the transfer is initiated from the computer that SolidWorks was on. Scott doesn't have that option. Maybe Scott can tell us if he was able to do it from a computer the original license was never on.....
Bob,
I appreciate your (and everyone else's) response! Correct me if I'm wrong but are you saying that I should try using the activation wizard from a different computer to remove the license from my laptop?
To clarify of what I mean by "died", I believe my graphics card went bad. I had my laptop for ~6 years so I'm not surprised. It appears everything else (RAM, ssd, display, battery, ect) are fine.

I am just saying to try what Tateos suggested (concerning the info links). I personally don't think it will work. However, if you can log into to your computer and actually see some kind of display, you should be able to use the activation wizard to transfer the license. What this is all boiling down to is the question....can you personally transfer the license from a computer that the original license was never on, or does it need to be initiated from the computer the license is on. Please tell us what you come up with.
Bob,
I will most definitely do that as soon as I can. Hopefully I'll let you know by tonight.
This is a shot in the dark but since I can still access my hard drive, could I transfer all the files from one drive to another? Would that transfer the license with it too? Like I said, just a shot in the dark.

You'll need to contact your reseller to get it done.
