I have a part that is very repetitive in features that I have
created using linear patterns. I noticed that some of these
patterns were causing a dramatic decrease in performance. I
suppressed them while working on the remainder of the part. Now
that I try to unsuppress them, the whole thing locks up. I have
deleted these patterns and am trying to recreate them in a
(hopefully) more simple manner, but with no luck.
The features I am trying to patteren are 4 cut extudes on the tip of a boss to give it a 4 facet draft. There are 86 of these bosses on the part and all need to have the draft.
Any suggestions how I might get this to pattern?
The file is 35MB in size, but with a large number of faces on the solid.
When I attempt this pattern I get 100% CPU usage and over 1 GB memory usage for hours (8+) without completing the operation.
Any help would be appreciated.
