When i print a title block in 2012 the lines come out very light almost not visable. What is the problem?
I have this problem with older drawings where the layer selected is NONE. The lines for title block and dimensions will show up on the monitor and printed in a grey color, not true solid black. I just change the layer to FORMAT or SOLID or make a new one or whatever.
I assume that SW 2012 has layers... I am working in SW 2015
Welcome to the forum. If it looks okay on your monitor then the problem is probably with your printer settings. Is that the case, or are they too light on your monitor also?
No, when I bring a title block into a new drawing the lines are like a gray scale color not a definite black, like the lines of the drawing entities. Thank you for your reply.
I'm afraid I still don't understand. Do you want the title block lines to be darker on your monitor?
Yes, the TB lines are very light on my monitor and very light when I print it out.
......how do I make them darker? This happens when I use the SolidWorks supplied title blocks too.
In the Line Format toolbar, deselect the Color Display Mode icon.

Kelvin's answer will probably fix the problem, but if not check #9 at Frequently Asked Forum Questions. That's referring to annotations, but the same information will apply to sketched lines.
You hit the nail on the head, but now I need to go back and change the layers to "format" on a half dozen drawings to get them to come out with black lines. Its been awhile since I have had to use SW and have forgotten more then I learned.
Thanks for the help.

Those lines should be on your sheet format, so all you need to do is to change the line's Layer in one sheet format, save that sheet format, then Reload any other sheets (in the same drawing or in other drawings) that use the same sheet format.
