Why do the changes I choose not to save in a part or assembly get saved in a drawing?
Why is there no option for "Save part/assembly changes in drawing" like there is "Save component changes in assembly"?
If I open a part from an assembly, make a change, then exit without saving I get the option to Keep or Discard changes in assembly.
When I open a part/assembly from a drawing, make a change, then exit without saving I get the option to Save All or Don't Save.
I choose Don't Save because I don't want the changes in my part/assembly.
I assume All changes to unsaved documents will be lost means my changes will not be saved in my part/assembly.
But since the drawing is still open and has the option to save... the changes to the part/assembly are still there!
What? Why? SW just told me the changes would be lost!!!! ???
This is super frustrating when I have made changes to the drawing that are drawing related; titleblock, notes, sheet size, custom properties, etc..
I cannot save them without also saving the part/assembly which has changes I DO NOT WANT.
I can either save all the changes or none of the changes.
But I did not want my part/assembly to be modified!!! I specifically told it NOT to save the changes, NOT to modify the document!
And you cannot uncheck the part/assembly. "This document is a reference of the top-level document that is selected for Save."
So again... Why is there no option for "Save part/assembly changes in drawing" like there is "Save component changes in assembly"?
Am I missing something?
