I have 2 SW releases (2015 and 2016) installed on my computer
When I run the addin to open SW, sometimes it's open SW2015, other time SW2016 is open
Is there an option to pick what release of SW when I hit the Start button
You should be able to set the version in the codes and it would start up based on that.
Dim app As Object = CreateObject("SldWorks.Application.21")
Re: Application.SldWorks or CreateObject("SldWorks.Application") ?
Re: Opening Solidworks 2013 Std - 64bit API discrepancy
I know the number "21" is not exactly same as the number of SW release such as SW2016
Just wondering how to find out the number corresponding to each release
It is a generic number which also works for other windows tool.
For e.g. 21 is for 2013, 22 for 2014 and so on.
Deepak has mentioned the most generic method of doing it programmatically. I would follow that answer.
For debugging your application, you can update the relevant SolidWorks application path. This is done in the following location: -
Project Properties->Debug->Start External Program.
Hope it helps!!!
Thank you, guys
