I know I can change the alignment of a fitting after placing
it in the route. Thing is I don't know what dictates this alignment
when I create the part.
I have created several valves to place in a route. When I place a valve and want it to change direction it also changes its rotation on the pipe.
So if the handle is facing up and the valve is pointing left, change alignment will change it to face right but the handle will face to the side. There are no mates to edit that I see. I attached pic to show what I mean.
I want the valve handle up but on the opposite side. These are the two option I get through change alignment.

The way to control this alignnment is by adding a sketch construction line from the sketch point of the fitting. In the fitting itself you also create an axis called Vertical. On updating thefitting will be rotated to keep ths vertcial axis parallel with the sketch construction line.
