    Can't mirror faces

    John Smith

I am trying to form a body out of two surfaces that form half of a part. I tried a few workflows to achieve this but failed every time:

      1. mirror both faces about the right plane, then knit with "try to form solid body" checked

=> I can't mirror both surfaces at once, and I get "Mirror pattern failed" when trying to mirror one face at a time".

=> I tried knitting both surfaces together with "Merge entities" checked, but then I get the error "One or more features used in this mirror feature are no longer in the model" when trying to mirror the resulting knit.

      2. first create a solid body then mirror it

=> I tried creating a third surface (filled surface) on the right plane to close the volume, then knitting them all together with "Try to form solid body" checked, then tried mirroring but I get the same error as the previous.

Have I built the part incorrectly ?

Also, when zooming in, I notice that the boundary surfaces don't follow perfectly the guid curves, may be that is a clue ?

      Thank you for your help.

      All the best,
