Where is the install file on the SW 2008 CD?

Where is the install file on the SW 2008 CD?

All I see are:
autorun.inf
sw.ico
swdata1.id
andd a mess of folders.. not in the SETUP folder.

What file do I run?!?!

Correct Answer

When I place my SW 2008 DVD (they are not shipping CD's anymore) in my DVD drive the SW Installation Manager auto launches.

When I use Windows Explorer to view the files on the DVD I would go to the swwi directory and select swsetup.exe to launch the SolidWorks core program installer.

There are multiple other directories for the other packages that come with SW Office Premium that can be installed individually.

Not sure why the Installer Package is not auto launching for you.

The installation manager is in the SLDIM folder. Then run the SLDIM program. This would be the one that would be run with autorun. Or if you want to install it with the core program installer use the folder and file that Anna mentioned.

If you open the autorun.inf file you should see that it references a loader.exe file (or does on the SW07 DVD). This should start installation at the main menu.
