    SW Window stutter causes crash

    Paul Achard

      Hi there,

I've been getting a slight stutter/jitter of the solidworks window which happens notably when I CTRL+select items in the feature navigator (for example if I'm selecting a bunch of bodies for appearance application). Normally this wouldn't bother me so much but it's been causing instant crashes. Here is an example of what I'm talking about: Solidworks Stutter - vidme

It seems like SW doesn't like the sudden cursor movement caused by the window stutter...

I'm running a Quadro K620 with updated drivers so I would be surprised if that were the problem... And I only noticed this problem in the last few days after running SW for a month on my new workstation. I noticed that when the stutter happens, the SW window momentarily resizes to cover my toolbar.

I was wondering if anyone else has had this problem?

      Thanks!

I get that same stutter/jitter all the time not whether rebuilding or opening.

the screen gets blurry and stretches down exactly as you say. FINALLY someone else has seen this. I also have approved hardware and updated drivers!!!

I dont crash all that often when it happens but mine hangs for some time. quite annoying. SWx 2016 VERY UNSTABLE even on sp2.0 EV.
