There has been a great number of downloads (still increasing) since Visualize has been available to download and I believe the servers have been over busy due to that. Please keep on trying or wait for few days or try at a different time of the day.
I had the same thing. I waited until the next day and it worked fine. May be because I turned my machine off overnight, but not sure. My be worth rebooting your computer and then trying?
My wｏｒｋｓｔａｔｉｏｎ is rebooted on a daily basis.
Anyway I'm getting this error and I suspect the way the program connects to the Internet is not allowed by our company, like the crash reports that are failing every time.
DS is a big company and they SHOULD know that big organizations, like the one I'm working at, don't allow single users to access the web without restrictions, let alone workstation that handle sensitive data. In my previous job, a small company we where more strict and NO one was allowed Internet connection, only a dedicated PC shared by all engineers.
Obviously I pushed active button after writing my serial, just deleted to post here.
Like this since I downloaded the software.
Even I am facing the same problem and what is the difference between SolidWorks visualize serial number and SolidWorks visualize activation ID :
Do you've a standalone SW or network one?
Also report to your VAR as suggested by Brian Hillner here https://forum.solidworks.com/message/567073#comment-567073
Do you have the Beta version of Visualize still installed? That licensing screen that asks for an Activation ID was only included in Visualize Alpha & Beta releases. Please make sure you have downloaded the Visualize version from your Customer Portal.
Thanks a ton Brian that helped.
