I tried changing the file extension.
But no luck.
Am I the only one with this problem?
I really can´t believe you ended up with an .stl file, that is strange.
I have downloaded and installed Visualize. The file extension was .msi, double clicked it and the installation procedure started.
.msi files opens with "windows installer".
Check this link if you are having trouble with windows installer.
Downloaded the installation file again, still with .stl file extension.
I changed file extension from .stl to .msi.
Now I can install the program by double click on it.
Solidworks Visualise 2016 Setup starts.
Everything installed without errors.
Made an activation.
When I start up visualize I get a massive list of errors.
Time to call my VAR....
Good idea...something sounds not quite right on your system. Have you made sure all windows updates are current and that you installed with Administrator privileges?
How did this end up, I have the same problem with the STL extension
After re-installing the software again the problem was gone.
That was after I renamed the installatiion file to .msi instead of the downloaded .stl.
Now everthing works allright.
